12. Key qualifications: Ms. Laurense is a
Senior Expert in Ecological Agriculture with a strong background in programme
development and –implementation. She gained extensive experience in the
formulation and evaluation of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) projects and in
the management of IPM Programmes. She advised donor- and local governments on
programme development, capacity development and strategic planning of their
Natural Resource Management related programmes. She successfully initiated and
introduced a range of innovative concepts and approaches in the projects under
her responsibility. Ms. Laurense has long-term experienced in human resource
management, capacity building and staff training and coaching. She worked
intensively with participatory training- and facilitation methodologies, in
particular with the Farmer Field School (FFS) approach. She has been
Development Advisor in 6 long-term assignments (2 – 6 years each) for the
Dutch (DGIS) and Danish (DANIDA) governments and for the FAO. For the latter
she completed also 3 short-term assignments. Presently she is executing an
Impact Assessment Study for the SPPS component of the DANIDA ASPS programme in
Bangladesh.
